San Antonio will go for their third win in a row against Toronto Raptors this Sunday when they host at AT&T Center for their inaugural meeting of interconference opponents this season, giving both squads an opportunity to demonstrate that their early success wasn't just fluke.
After an initially slow start, the Raptors have managed to string together several victories since early January. On average they're scoring 123.2 points per game during this run while holding opponents to an average of just 18.5 turnovers per contest. Even without key players like OG Anunoby and Precious Achiuwa they've found stability through young talent like them.
Meanwhile, the Spurs are leaning on their veteran cast to get the job done. Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green have both played at an extremely high level to contribute significantly to this team's success; Victor Wembanyama's arrival has also been greatly welcomed, providing additional bench scoring.
Both of these teams have struggled defensively this season, so this could be an exciting matchup with plenty of points scored on both sides. The Raptors rank seventh for scoring while San Antonio ranks 27th in defensive efficiency; should their defense improve, this game could serve as an opportunity for both to return to form.
