Ja Morant is an electric scorer who has the potential to completely take over games on his own. He presents matchup problems for Spurs first five players who may struggle defending perimeter players at times; Morant has averaged 25.2 points and 7.8 assists over six games this season.
Jaren Jackson Jr should score at least 22 points and grab at least 8 rebounds during this matchup, playing an integral role both offensively and defensively in the paint area. He will likely grab multiple defensive rebounds as well.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the worst defensive teams this season, giving up an average of 115 points per game and ranking 20th for rebounding per game given up.
San Antonio has recently been showing improvement on defense and is poised to break out of their recent slump. Chris Paul has been instrumental in this respect; averaging 29 points and 10 assists over their last three games. Harrison Barnes should contribute with speed and shooting ability while Devin Vassell provides great defensive coverage. Their defense will likely be put through its paces against Memphis' high-octane offense but should hold its own.
